The Scottish skirt is descended from the kilt made from tartan, the fabric featuring vertical and horizontal lines that crisscross to form squares. While the most famous version of the kilt is green and blue, there are many more color combinations out there, each representing a clan from the Scottish aristocracy. Today this pattern is being revisited with skirts in various different styles and fabrics. Whether above the knee, pencil or wrap-around, you can mix and match combinations and accessories to create classic bon-ton styles or bold punk looks.
